Travel gift ideas under £50

Waterproof phone case – £5.99

Travel gift idea number one is a waterproof camera bag

This is one of those products that you may not realise you need, until you NEED it! (Which makes for a fabulous gift!) As well as taking underwater videos, I use mine as a security measure whilst we are on the beach! If you whack a small amount of money in there with your phone, you don’t have to worry about anyone stealing your money whilst you’re enjoying the waves.

Make sure you do the tissue test before using the case, to ensure yours is working correctly.

Scratch off map – £9.97

A scratch off wall map, so you can document where you have been on your travels

Do you know someone who just LOVES to travel ? This is a fabulous gift idea for them to display in their home! Scratch off the countries you have visited and see where is yet to be explored 🙂

Travel Fund – £11.99

Travel gift idea number four is an adventure fund

Help your loved one by getting them a “Travel fund frame” and donating a few pounds to get them started! Finding the money to go on holiday is tough going, so having somewhere to throw spare change will definitely help… they will be jetting off in no time!

Headphones – £14.99

Travel gift idea number five is a pair of headphones

These headphones are great, and a really reasonable price!
Martyn would probably disagree and advise to get more expensive headphones (something with active noise cancelling , such as the Apple AirPods Pro). He’s probably right if your really into your tunes and want the best quality, but if you’re like me and you just want to listen to some music comfortably, these are the Martyn-approved cheap headphones that I currently own, love and would recommend 🙂

Moleskine Notepad – £18

Whilst I’m away discovering somewhere new, I always love to take a small diary to record our journey. I carry it around in the front of my day bag so I can write on the go!

Travel gift idea number seven is a diary to log your adventures

Pretty much any notepad will do, but seeing as this is for a gift you can’t go wrong with a really nice Moleskine. They have a large range of great covers including Harry Potter, Game of thrones and (my fave, which I own) Alice in Wonderland Moleskine Pocket Notebook!

Travel gift idea number eight are packing cubes

Packing cubes – £14.99

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW IMPORTANT THESE LITTLE THINGS ARE! Seriously, they are amazing!

Set of 7 Packing Cubes

LifeStraw water bottle – £33.99

Travel gift idea number nine is a life water bottle

If you are buying for someone who just LOVES the outdoors, consider getting them this LifeStraw water bottle! I would never really recommend drinking from an unfiltered water source, but in an extreme situation, or in areas where access to clean drinking water is scarce, this water filter will be a lifesaver!

Osprey Farpoint 40L – £75

Travel gift idea number ten is an Osprey Farpoint 40l backpack

My fave! I actually got one of these off Martyn for Christmas a few years back, and have taken it everywhere since! It is battered and bruised but still holding up very strong. The Osprey Farpoint 40L is lightweight and compact, with ample storage space inside. Teaming this with packing cubes, I was able to comfortably fit everything I needed for a 4 week getaway – and had space to spare! The absolute best thing about this backpack is that it fits most hand luggage dimensions, allowing you to save money on bags by carrying on!

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite – £84.99

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is a brilliant device to take away with you on your adventure

An Amazon Kindle is an absolute game changer! Probably one of my most used items whilst travelling. A Kindle is the perfect gift idea for a traveller who enjoys a good read, taking away the hassle of carrying a ton of books around.

I love loading my Kindle up with new reads and settling in to a long flight, or a chill on the beach with a bunch of brand new titles at my fingertips. The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite in particular has more storage, is water resistant and has a slightly better screen light than the standard Amazon Kindle.

If your loved one already has a Kindle, why not choose a travel gift that jazzes it up a little! Something like the Ayotu Water-Safe Case for Kindle Paperwhite cover is super cute and will help protect your Kindle!
